Cutting his teeth playing drums in punk bands as a teenager, Ash now has over two decades of music and gigging experience. From drums, he quickly progressed to a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. Ash’s past experience includes singer and front man for the prominent early nineties techno grunge band Caligula which experienced chart success and did a bucket load of tours with international bands such as Depeche Mode, Pop Will Eat Itself, Ween, Siouxise and The Banshees, Neds Atomic Dustbin and Ride… just to name a few. Songwriting and vocal technique are the strong points of his teaching style, which he combines with his wealth of industry knowledge gained as a result of signing a major label record and publishing deal at the age of 17. Ash knows the ins and outs of this cut-throat industry.
Ash currently fronts Graveyard Rockstars and Panic Syndrome along with his original band Caligula while helping to keep the industry alive coaching and mentoring the next generation of performers at Big Music.
